Week 2 NFL DFS Cash Game Picks (DraftKings)

Lamar Jackson Ravens

Last week we missed the cash line by less than a point. BTJ and Njoku were letdowns, but overall I think we nailed the ownership spots and the process was solid. Now it’s time to bounce back and hit big in Week 2!

Here are my favorite NFL DFS cash game plays to build around at DraftKings this week.

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson ($7,000) – We’re lucky to have the “big three” QBs this week: Allen, Hurts, and Jackson. All profile well, but I prefer Lamar in cash. He has a strong history vs Cleveland, and his rushing upside gives him the highest floor/ceiling combo.

He’s also already in mid-season form, having piled on 29 fantasy points in week one.

Drake Maye ($5,200) – Faces off against the lowly Dolphins, who just made Daniel Jones look like a superstar. The price is fantastic and lets you spend up elsewhere. Maye also has rushing ability that pads his floor.

Mac Jones ($4,000) – I don’t love this pick, but he’s stone minimum and draws the Saints. Still, I prefer paying up this week in cash.

Running Backs

Christian McCaffrey ($7,500) – Healthy, heavily used, and the clear focal point with Purdy, Kittle, and maybe Jennings out. The usage will continue to be massive. Fade at your own risk.

De’Von Achane ($6,900) – Scary to go here because of last week, but he still carries the lion’s share of carries and offers enough in the passing game. I’m willing to go back, but I’ll admit it’s risky.

James Conner ($6,800) – Carolina just gave up 143 rushing yards to Travis Etienne. Conner gets all the work he can handle and is a safe usage play in cash.

Chase Brown ($6,600) – Little competition for touches, excellent matchup, and probably my favorite RB after CMC.

Travis Etienne ($5,700) – Big Week 1 with Tank Bigsby gone, leaving Etienne as the bell cow. Strong usage, great matchup, and way too cheap for the role.

Wide Receivers

Ja’Marr Chase ($8,100) – Short-term memory is required in DFS. He flopped last week, but he’s still one of the best WRs in football in a potential shootout. Don’t overthink it.

CeeDee Lamb ($7,800) – Somewhat disappointing Week 1, but the target share is elite. Gets the Giants, who are weak against slot WRs. Safe cash play with ceiling.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($6,000) – Salary-driven play, but saw 13 targets last week and has no real competition. The Steelers’ defense isn’t as scary as it once was, and JSN is in line for another strong outing.

Ricky Pearsall ($5,300) – Some risk with Mac Jones starting, but at this price, with Kittle out and Jennings possibly sidelined, Pearsall could see a huge target bump.

Hollywood Brown ($5,200) – With Worthy out and Rice suspended, Brown saw 16 targets. That won’t repeat, but his role is secure and the price is great for cash.

Tight Ends

Trey McBride ($6,000) – Might not be chalky, but he’s peppered with targets and the matchup is excellent. Safe floor, strong ceiling.

Tyler Warren ($4,500) – Not the best matchup vs Denver, but he’s heavily involved. Jones locks onto his first read often, and last game it was Warren.

Juwan Johnson ($3,600) – He almost played every snap last week. Rattler needs a safety blanket, and Johnson appears to be that guy.

Harold Fannin ($3,100) – Could be a trap, but at near minimum salary and with potential ownership, he’s worth a mention.

Defenses

Rams ($3,100) – Looked sharp vs Houston and now get rookie QB Cam Ward. Strong floor option.

Patriots ($2,800) – Cheap punt. The Colts shredded the Dolphins, and New England could follow the same script.
