Last week we were let down by a CeeDee Lamb injury and the Falcons forgetting how to play defense. We still had the right plays based on ownership and barely missed the cash line.
Let’s turn the page and lock in for a stronger Week 4. With that, here are my favorite NFL DFS cash game plays at DraftKings.
Quarterbacks
- Justin Herbert ($6,300)
Herbert is the most expensive QB I’ll consider for cash. Solid floor in a good spot against the Giants’ defense. I prefer cheaper options, but no issue if you land here.
- Drake Maye ($5,500)
Maye has become my go-to cash QB. Safe floor, consistent production, and I’m not worried about Carolina’s defense despite their showing against Atlanta.
- Caleb Williams ($5,800)
I will take Caleb’s performance with a grain of salt considering how bad the Cowboys defense is. He has rushing upside, and all three games he has at least 18 fantasy points. He gets the Raiders this week in a good matchup.
- Geno Smith ($5,400)
Both QBs in this game are viable with an O/U of 47.5. Geno offers a safe floor at the right price.
- Jaxson Dart ($4,500)
Scary as a Giants fan, but the price is hard to ignore. The Chargers’ defense is tough, and the o-line could crumble, but he unlocks plenty of roster flexibility.
Running Backs
- Christian McCaffrey ($8,500)
The price keeps climbing, but he’s been the safest cash play on the slate. Lock him in until he fails…and probably still lock him in after.
- Jonathan Taylor ($7,500)
Playing possessed the last two weeks. The matchup is tough, but usage + expected scoring environment makes him strong at this price.
- James Cook ($7,100)
If you pivot off Taylor, Cook offers savings and a good matchup vs the Saints. Solid workload.
- Omarion Hampton ($5,900)
Excellent price with Harris out for the year. Giants’ run defense has been a funnel.
- Cam Skattebo ($5,500)
With Tracy Jr. sidelined, it’s Skattebo’s backfield. Tough matchup vs LAC, but he’s heavily involved in the passing game. Strong ownership.
Note: don’t pair Hampton and Skattebo in the same cash lineup.
Wide Receivers
- Puka Nacua ($7,900)
Most expensive WR on the slate but also the safest. Absurd target share and a great game environment.
- Jakobi Meyers ($5,400)
Too cheap for his role. Strong target volume and a plus matchup.
- Drake London ($5,700)
Disappointing start, but talent + price drop = buy-low spot. Pennix may be part of the issue, but this is the week to take advantage.
Tight Ends
- Brock Bowers ($5,800)
Raiders/Bears should provide fantasy goodness. Bowers hasn’t smashed yet, but sub-$6k with a reliable floor works in cash.
- Tyler Warren ($4,600)
Always solid. Consistent target share and good chalk value for cash.
- Hunter Henry ($4,000)
A bit of a chase, but Maye clearly likes throwing his way. Price + matchup keep him viable.
Defenses
- Texans ($3,400)
Targeting Ward weekly has worked, and Houston sets up well again here.
- Lions ($3,500)
Just destroyed Lamar and Derrick Henry. Now they get the Browns. Enough said.
- Titans ($2,300)
Value punt. Houston’s offense hasn’t been itself, and their o-line is a mess.
