Best WNBA DFS Picks Today for DraftKings (Friday) | Top Plays, Values & Strategy

wnba dfs picks friday 7/3

Looking for WNBA DFS advice for Friday’s main slate at DraftKings? There’s only two games scheduled, but there is injury news to monitor and I’ve got my top WNBA DFS picks and strategy ready to go.

This slate undeniably hinges on the status of A’ja Wilson, but she actually is not the only star worth rostering. I’ll go over all the options to help you win tonight. If you want even more help, try out our WNBA DFS projections (free for 7 days), and then read my preview and picks breakdown. Let’s build!

WNBA DFS Core Plays for Friday

  • A’ja Wilson ($12.7k)
  • Olivia Miles ($10.6k)
  • Leonie Fiebich ($6.4k)

I personally hope Wilson is out again tonight. If she is, this slate gets a lot easier to figure out. To be fair, it’s easy to figure out already, as I’m not fading the WNBA’s Jokic on a tiny 2-game slate.

If Wilson is in, we probably just have to play her. Our WNBA DFS lineup tool has her coming in with a sick 52-point fantasy projection. She’s in the #1 lineup, too, while nobody sniffs her projection or ceiling.

If you want to try our lineup tool to boost your game, give it a spin for free for 7 days. It combines projections and simulations and gets you thousands of lineups in seconds. It can also be used for other sports like MLB and MMA right now.

Should Wilson sit, we would just replace her with Jackie Young ($10.7k) in the core. Chelsea Gray would also be a near auto-play, while Jewell Lloyd would get a big boost. Lloyd honestly looks like a great mid-range play regardless, but she’d get a big boost.

Miles is my second favorite play of the slate. New York studs aren’t always properly extended, and Miles feels safer than Sabrina and is a better value than Stewart. I still like the Liberty studs fine, but if I am paying up over $11k for someone tonight, it’s going to be Wilson.

Miles has yet to truly slow down. She’s been scoring insanely well and has topped 37+ fantasy points in four of her last five games. I’m just going to keep playing her until the wheels come off.

This slate has no real value right now, so I’ll cap off today’s top WNBA DFS picks with Leonie Fiebich. Sabally is out once again, so she’s locked into 30 minutes. Her ceiling is capped with New York’s top studs on the floor, but relative to the slate she’s a really good play.

Top WNBA DFS GPP Picks

  • Kamilla Cardoso ($10.3k)
  • Sabrina Ionescu ($9.2k)

My favorite GPP play for tonight is Cardoso. She always offers monstrous double-double upside and it sure seems like nobody ever wants to play her. Cardoso enters the slate with our tool’s 5th best projection, while she’s looked great lately, topping 40+ fantasy points in three of her last four games.

Chicago is going to need Cardoso’s size to contend with Wilson if she’s active, which makes her a pretty killer comeback – especially if she’s contrarian.

Sabrina rarely gets fully extended. This slate will change in a big way if Wilson gets ruled out. If that happens, Breanna Stewart may very well become the chalk. No matter what, I doubt Sabrina carries crazy ownership, so I see her as a solid and potentially elite leverage play in tourneys.

WNBA DFS Value Plays for 7/3

  • Stephanie Talbot ($4.3k)
  • Maya Caldwell ($3.9k)

The value on this slate is awful. It’s so bad that you can make a case for just fading Wilson and going fully balanced. I’ll stop short of that, but I still want to get away from any true punts if I can help it.

Talbot and Caldwell are the ones that grade out the best right now. Wilson being inactive would change that a bit, but the deep dives are very weak on a 2-game slate.

Both of these ladies have tiny roles and very low floors. I don’t love it, but these are the punts I’d be looking at first, starting with Talbot.

WNBA DFS Strategy for Friday

My overall strategy for this slate is to build around Wilson if she’s active, but to do so without incorporating punts into my lineups. We were reminded again last night with Atlanta’s Kone how poorly that can go, after all.

It gets even worse when the slate is smaller like tonight. Wilson being out would rescue us all in the fact that we automatically wouldn’t feel so strapped for cash, but it’d also set up an even chalkier build.

Build around Wilson if she’s active (unless she’s reported to be limited). Target Young or Gray with Lloyd if she’s out. Either way, I think Cardoso is an excellent GPP play if you want to go away from Miles or chalkier spends like Stewart, etc. Good luck!
