The final day of the WNBA regular season is here. The WNBA injury report is like a horrible murder scene, and with five games on the docket, not everyone has incentive to play hard. We know Golden State and Las Vegas care as they contend for the #2 seed, while the Fever and Mystics are both in play still for the 5 seed.
Those scenarios impact how we build WNBA DFS lineups tonight, while some bad teams get a lot worse with a ton of players being rested. This is honestly not the worst slate to avoid, but if you are playing it I’ll show you to the top WNBA DFS picks you’ll want in your lineups. Let’s build!
WNBA DFS Core Plays for Thursday
- A’ja Wilson ($12.9k)
- Caitlin Clark ($12.1k)
- Dorka Juhasz ($3.8k)
I know it seems too easy, but both Wilson and Clark own the top two projections and also have reason to play deep into their respective games tonight. Both are fighting for seeding, so on a slate with a lot of uncertainty, I am going out of my way to pay for some.
I’d say it matters for both, too. Indiana can avoid facing Las Vegas or Golden State, while the Aces can still grab the #2 seed in the playoffs. That makes both of these studs look like musts.
Olivia Miles has a calf injury and won’t play, while the Lynx have secured the top overall seed. That has me wary of veteran studs like Napheesa Collier on Minnesota, but excited to punt for someone like Juhasz. You can mess around with other Lynx value just the same, but her strong 22-point fantasy projection has me locked in on her for now.
Simulations can improve DFS lineups and our tool is definitely one you’ll want to give a try. Don’t take our word for it, though. See what one of our happy users has to say about it before giving it a spin (just $7 for the first week).
WNBA DraftKings Picks for GPPs (9/24)
- Alyssa Thomas ($12.2k)
- Shakira Austin ($11.1k)
Thomas is interesting due to expected low ownership, but also due to a rough matchup with Las Vegas. I also doubt people will prioritize her over Wilson/CC considering her incentive to play a full game is non-existent. One contrarian approach is to fade CC and stack AT with A’ja.
Austin also looks like a strong tourney play. With several viable studs above her, she just doesn’t project as well as the other top plays. She’s cheaper, though, and her Mystics will be gunning for the 5-seed. If nobody wants to pay for her, I will. She still projects for 39 fantasy points and is $1k cheaper than the top three studs.
