Best WNBA DFS Picks Today – Saturday’s Core Plays at DraftKings (8/29)

best wnba dfs picks saturday breanna stewart

The WNBA is nearing its break, but it still has two games to offer on the schedule on Saturday. The slate starts early and very weirdly breaks things up with one game at noon and the other when you’re falling asleep on the couch, but we’ll make do.

New York continues to try to work their way up the standings, but they’re the only team here with anything to play for. That could honestly have both games out to be dumpster fires, but we still have a slate to win. I’ll break down the best WNBA DFS picks, while also touching on some values and GPP pivots. Let’s build!

WNBA DFS Core Plays for Saturday

  • Breanna Stewart ($11.3k)
  • Natasha Mack ($6.8k)
  • Isabelle Harrison ($9.1k)

Stewart is such a smash. She’s $1k cheaper than Alyssa Thomas, and yet she projects about the same. Both of the games today have blowout risk, so in most contests I’d just roll with Stewart. You can go get AT as well if you have the funds, but I see no reason in forcing it.

Mack is a bit too cheap and projects too well to ignore. The slate is small and full of terrors, while it is specifically very light on viable value. Who would have thought?

Harrison projects well for her price. Kiki Rice is also in play, but she costs a bit more and projects worse. There are other spends available to us, but dollar for dollar, Harrison feels like the better play.

Simulations can improve DFS lineups and our tool is definitely one you’ll want to give a try. Don’t take our word for it, though. See what one of our happy users has to say about it before giving it a spin (just $7 for the first week).

WNBA DraftKings Picks for GPPs (8/29)

  • Alyssa Thomas ($12.2k)
  • Jonquel Jones ($10.4k)

Thomas may not be super unowned due to the size of the slate, but I can see the field rolling with Breanna Stewart over her. It is very possible the best path is to just pair them, but if AT is low-owned by comparison, she becomes a key leverage spend in GPPs.

Jones is also very interesting leverage on Stewart. My instinct is to just play Stewart and fade both of these ladies, but if the field is all over Stewart, we can consider targeting teamates like Jones or Sabrina Ionescu and hope they smash instead.
