The Week 5 NFL DFS slate is a weird one. We’re dealing with bye weeks for the first time this year, so the Falcons, Bears, Packers, and Steelers are all off. This is also yet another slate without a lot of high-priced QBs to spend up for. Lamar Jackson is out with an injury, while Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, and Matthew Stafford aren’t on the main slate.
The Chargers, Cardinals, Bucs, and Giants are all dealing with injuries in the backfield, which means we have plenty of value at the running back position this week. That could lead to similar roster construction for a large swath of the field, creating potential leverage opportunities with some of the expensive RBs in tournaments.
