How the turn tables have. All jokes aside, Hunter Renfrow went from preseason reclamation project, to cut, to being a week 1 starter for the Carolina Panthers.
Carolina’s plan to dump Adam Thielen to make way for the surging Jalen Coker was foiled when Coker decided to get hurt. The team was forced to bring back the 29-year old route-running maven and just like that, he’s relevant again.
I know it’s not what everyone wants to hear, but Renfrow remains a gifted route-runner and he figures to man the slot to start the 2025 campaign, with rookie Tet McMillan and Xavier Legette on the outside.
That could give Renfrow compelling value immediately, especially since Carolina’s offense likes to utilize the slot receiver and he comes in at an insane $3.2k. Sure, it will be difficult to prioritize him with so much value to be had in the opening week, but he’s damn near the minimum salary at DraftKings.
Renfrow isn’t an auto play in Week 1 NFL DFS contests at DraftKings, but he’s definitely a salary saver that should be in your player pool if his role is as concrete as it sounds.
