The Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever face off in the top WNBA game of the night on Thursday. That gives us a fun clash between huge stars like A’ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark, and is also home to the night’s best WNBA DFS stacking environment.
Turning away from that game feels wrong, so the key may be to make the right call as to which stud to play, or which values help get us both Wilson and Clark. I’ll run through the top WNBA DFS picks and offer insight on my favorite values and tourney pivots to help you win. Let’s build!
WNBA DFS Core Plays for Thursday Night
- A’ja Wilson ($12.6k)
- Nyara Sabally ($7.1k)
- Carla Leite ($9k)
I also really like Caitlin Clark tonight, but she’s pretty expensive and is better served for tournaments (more on that in a bit). Considering projection, floor, ceiling, and salary, Wilson is the obvious pick by comparison.
You can pair the two if you find the funds to fork our $12k twice, but that may not actually be the optimal way to build tonight. Let’s start with Wilson, who projects better than everyone else. I think she’s worth it on a three-game slate, plus this game has the tightest spread and highest total of the night.
Sabally may be the best dollar for dollar play of the slate. Toronto continues to be without Brittney Sykes, but star scorer Marina Mabrey is also questionable to suit up.
Sabally is a good play no matter what, but Mabrey sitting would inflate her usage. She’s going to be owned, but she’s too cheap to not build with on this slate.
Leite also looks really good for the price. Teammate Emily Engstler also looks really good at $1k cheaper, but I like Leite’s minutes and projection more so I think she’s worth paying for. I have no qualms about rostering them together, however.

WNBA Fantasy Picks for GPPs (8/6)
- Caitlin Clark ($12.1k)
- Bridget Carleton ($9.1k)
Clark is in the best game of the night and she doesn’t figure to be very owned. The main reason is that her price is too close to Wilson’s, who is simply the better play. You can make your team different by finding a way to pair them, or you could risk it and just pivot from A’ja to CC.
Carleton is a less risky way to get different. Her projection isn’t as fun as Clark’s, but you could simply pivot off of chalky Portland options like Leite or Engstler. Both of those ladies are the better plays who project for more fantasy points, but Carleton isn’t far behind and would come in less owned.
Thursday’s WNBA DFS Value Picks
- Serah Williams ($4.2k)
- Dana Evans ($3.5k)
Per usual, the value is pretty horrifying on Thursday’s WNBA DFS slate. This is the main reason why paying up to pair Clark and Wilson together won’t feel very comfortable. I will definitely play one of them, but pairing them could prove difficult.
Evans is cheap exposure to that game environment, though. The floor is absurdly low, but 15+ minutes in that game could be enough to make her viable.
I like Serah Williams slightly better, but she’s more expensive. She is looking at similar playing time and projection, so if you’re picking between these two I’d just roll with Evans.
Let’s also keep an eye on the WNBA injury report, though. Mabrey being out would open up some value for Toronto, while Evans herself is actually listed as questionable. If she’s out, maybe Brianna Turner or Stephanie Talbot pick up some steam as reliable punts.
