Looking for the best WNBA DFS picks today? Monday’s slate is a good one at DraftKings, as all three games on the schedule project to be reasonably competitive. A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart are also both in the player pool, giving us at least two studs to pay up for.
The question is which one do you pay for, and how do you gain leverage on the field? I’ll help you make those calls as I dish out my WNBA Core and highlight some values and tourney pivots. Let’s build!
WNBA DFS Core for Monday Night
- A’ja Wilson ($12.5k)
- Kamilla Cardoso ($9.2k)
- Allisha Gray (9.1k)
Chicago continues to be undermanned down low, so I’m doing the Cardoso thing again. She often does not get the burn she should, but they need her size to help contain Alyssa Thomas. Cardoso is a great bet to hit a double-double if the game stays close and she’s a little too cheap.
Wilson is a very easy click due to owning the top projection by quite a bit. Our tool loves her and while she’s expensive, so are the other top plays. I suppose a case can be made to save cash and drop down to Angel Reese, Alyssa Thomas, or Breanna Stewart, but they all are expensive so I’m not seeing the edge in the discount.
You can always opt to simply pick one of those studs to pair with Wilson. I won’t force you into a corner by doing that with my WNBA Core, though. Instead, I’ll wrap things up with Gray. The Dream give their studs nice minutes and she’s the cheapest of their top four options. After Reese they all project similarly, so I’ll just play her and hope she’s feeling it tonight.

WNBA Fantasy Picks for GPPs (8/3)
- Angel Reese ($11.3k)
- Sabrina Ionescu ($10.8k)
Reese may be the odd lady odd when looking at the top studs. She’s usually pretty safe thanks to her interior play and dominance on the glass, but she lacks the same upside as the likes of Wilson, Stewart, and Thomas. If the ownership aligns with that logic, she’s pretty interesting in GPPs.
Stewart should still garner ownership, whether people pivot from Wilson to her or simply opt to pair them together. If I’m right, the surging Ionescu could go overlooked. It’ll likely be more due to price, but we’ll gladly take that in tournaments.
Sabrina has been cooking lately. I know nearly $11k is a lot to stomach, but she’s back to playing big minutes and is fresh off a 54-point outburst. She’s cleared 40+ fantasy points in three of her last four games now, too.
Monday’s WNBA DFS Value Picks
- DiJonai Carrington ($4.3k)
- Marine Johannes ($4.7k)
We may need more news or some surprise values in starting lineups, because right now the value is Quite Bad for this slate. That said, the Sky are down some key players and Carrington is already back to logging 15 minutes. If she gets more burn, she could smash this price tag.
Johannes also returns to help a Liberty team that has been shorthanded. They are slowly getting bodies back, so she feels pretty risky. She’s no longer limited herself, however, so we could get 15+ minutes out of her.
In general, the value is awful so far, so I am considering just building around Wilson and staying balanced beyond that as much as possible.
