WNBA DFS Picks – Top DraftKings Plays for Thursday, (6/4)

wnba dfs picks thursday

The NBA season is winding down, which puts a greater onus on other sports like MLB and WNBA. We are covering MLB as often as we can during the week, and I’m going to start pushing out WNBA DFS picks whenever possible as well.

Thursday’s WNBA DFS slate is a tiny two-gamer, which makes it the perfect slate to get our feet wet. I am making this first batch of WNBA DFS picks free, while I highly encourage trying out our lineup tool to formulate the best possible lineups (it’s free for 7 days). But first, I’ll go over the top 3-4 plays I want in most of my lineups and also touch on some pivots and values. Let’s build!

Top WNBA DFS Picks for 6/4

  • Naz Hillmon ($7.7k)
  • Angel Reese ($10.9k)
  • Courtney Williams ($9.6k)
  • Caitlin Clark ($11.7k)

Hillmon is one of my favorite plays of the slate, as she owns the 5th best projection despite being under $8k. Her floor isn’t the greatest, but she’s been getting big minutes in competitive games. This matchup with Indiana looks solid on paper, as this game has a high total and a tight spread.

Hillmon wasn’t great in her last contest, but she popped off for 38.8 fantasy points two games ago. Her versatile game is the selling point, and if she can show up offensively she is going to smash at this salary.

Atlanta players are very safe options since they get heavy burn. I also like Rhyne Howard a lot for that reason, but we know by now Angel Reese is the more reliable play. Her offensive game isn’t great, but she’s a doubled-double threat every time out and she enters the day with the top projection.

Reese is getting solid minutes and has topped 38+ fantasy points in three of her last four games. This has been a mostly positive matchup for her across six previous meetings, as she’s averaged 11.7 points and 13.7 rebounds against the Fever for her career.

Courtney Williams looks like a rock solid value, as she is under $10k despite being the top projecting player for Minnesota. She grades out as a better value than Natasha Howard or Olivia Miles, even though you could argue their ceilings are more compelling.

Williams is the better play due to price and projection, and he’s cooking right now. Not only did she pour in 30 real points in her last game, but she’s dialed up 40+ fantasy points in three of her last four contests.

CC is someone we can fade if we don’t love the value, but you actually can get to this WNBA Core pretty easily. She’s expensive and she missed a little time with a back ailment, but fading her feels dicey considering the slate size and her ceiling.

WNBA DFS GPP Pivot Picks

  • Rhyne Howard ($10.7k)
  • Aliyah Boston ($11.1k)

Howard doesn’t make the cut for me due to projection, but she crushed (51 fantasy points) last time out and is not going to be very owned. She’s a terrific pivot off of chalkier teammate Reese or as a leverage on a chalky CC.

Boston is even more leverage on Clark’s ownership, as you can bet on her smashing instead of her teammate. Boston’s projection is way worse and she’s over $11k, but her 49.5-point fantasy point outing from three games ago is a reminder of her ceiling.

Best WNBA DFS Values for Thursday

  • Cecilia Zandalasini ($5.1k)
  • Kiah Stokes ($4k)
  • Antonia Delaere ($3.7k)

Zandalasini doesn’t project all that well per our DFS lineup tool, but she’s been getting solid minutes lately and is coming off a decent 22-point fantasy outing. If she can do that again at this price tag, that could be a win on this tiny slate.

Her floor is pretty low, so I’d rather dive down further and try the likes of Stokes or Delaere. Delaere is pretty risky since her recent blow-up game saw her benefit from a housing. But she did play well and she’s cheap, so she’s not a bad dice roll in the event Minnesota opts to hand her more minutes.

Stokes is the safer play and she’s not much more expensive. She stands out as our tool’s top value play of the slate, and her role is the most reliable of these three cheapies. She’s logged 20+ minutes in six of her last seven games and while he floor isn’t amazing, she’s got shot-blocking upside that can pick up the slack if her shot isn’t falling.
