Alyssa Thomas dropped yet another triple-double yesterday, making her a tough person to win without on DraftKings. She made my core plays, but the other two ladies that I vouched for did not deliver.
The WNBA core was not kind to us yesterday, but Wednesday offers up a new two-game slate to hopefully give us the ultimate reset. Both games are pretty inviting, as neither has a point spread over 3.5 points and both have game totals around 162.
Of course, much like we dealt with yesterday, you’ll need to decide early on if you want to pay for the slate’s top stud. Given the slate size and how well A’ja Wilson projects, I’m not sure fading her is the best play.
With that, let’s dive into my top WNBA DFS picks for Wednesday at DraftKings.
A’ja Wilson, F, Las Vegas Aces ($14.5k)
Wilson is the Nikola Jokic of the WNBA and certainly of this two-game slate. Her price has come up to an astronomical $14.5k, but she has often been worth it, topping 52+ fantasy points in 6 of her last 8 games.
This salary is easily the highest she’s had in 2025, but we’re dealing with a small slate and really nobody else who can sniff her ceiling. The only one who can – Paige Bueckers – is still 9 fantasy points behind in terms of projection, and is questionable to play due to an illness.
Even with Bueckers available, I don’t see a way around Wilson on DraftKings.
Grace Berger, G, Dallas Wings ($5.5k)
Do I have a ton of confidence in Grace Berger as a player? No, but we are getting solid minutes at a decent $5.5k price tag. Berger’s floor is admittedly low, but she has still logged 27+ minutes in three straight games and topped 23+ fantasy points twice in that span.
Berger’s value is cemented with Arike Ogunbowale still sidelined with knee tendinitis, but the aforementioned Bueckers is also battling a sickness. If Bueckers is limited or out, Berger will be the chalk of the chalk – and fading her would probably be a mistake.
Should Bueckers take a seat tonight, we’d also want to bump up other Wings like Maddy Siegrist, Geiselsoder, Haley Jones, and maybe even punts like Aziaha James or Diamond Miller.
Needless to say, hammering the More side of Dallas player picks at Sleeper would make a lot of sense. If you are considering playing there or are looking for a new picks site, you can get a 100% match right now by using our code: build.

Marina Mabrey, G, Connecticut Sun ($9.7k)
I liked Mabrey the other day and she was decent enough (29 fantasy points). The real appeal is the reasonable price tag and the locked in minutes. She can be fairly steady, but we’re paying for the big role (35+ minutes in 6 straight games).
Mabrey is cheaper than other viable options like Rhyne Howard and Alisha Gray, and her projection is very close to theirs. You could certainly make a case to pivot to one of them (they should be slightly less owned), but Mabrey stands out as the better value.
In general, I think we should prepare to get to a long of Wings players. If Bueckers is out, this team could obviously struggle, but they would also be incredibly shorthanded. That would mean big minutes and usage bumps across the board. Running it back with Mabrey and maybe another Sun player (especially if either are projecting to be overlooked) could be a good strategy.
On the flip side, could we get away with betting on Dallas just being utter ass and just go stack the Aces game? Yes, why yes we could. Today’s core is more of a cash game approach, but going away from Wings in GPPs is definitely appealing.
FanDuel WNBA Core
On FD, I think it’s pretty simple. If Bueckers is in, build around her and don’t worry so much about forcing other Dallas players. Arike is still out, so Berger and Siegrist would still be viable, just not absolute musts.
If Bueckers sits, fire up Wilson on both sites. She is very pricey, but Bueckers being out would make a Wilson+Wings build very easy to get to. It might be chalky, though, so fading Wilson and/or going away from the Wings is also still in play.
I still like Mabrey a lot on FD. I’d be pairing her with Wilson and Berger if Bueckers sits, or going with her and Bueckers if Bueckers plays.
