We handed out some solid WNBA DFS picks for yesterday’s two-game slate, so let’s keep the good times rolling on Saturday. Tonight has a nice three-game slate at DraftKings, while unlike last night, we get some serious star power.
A’ja Wilson headlines the slate and owns the top projection, but is she a must on this slate? I’ll dive into that, hit on my favorite WNBA DFS plays, and offer some values and GPP options in an effort to help you win. Let’s build!
Top WNBA DFS Picks for Saturday
- A’ja Wilson ($12.9k)
- Carla Leite ($8k)
- Olivia Miles ($10.6k)
The first and biggest decision when building WNBA DFS lineups tonight is deciding on A’ja Wilson. I think you can be under-weight or fade in big GPPs, but the floor and ceiling is just too good. If I am suggesting a core to build around, she needs to be in it.
Wilson comes in with a stout 48-point fantasy projection and this slate really isn’t very big. If it were 4 or 5 games, maybe we can get away with the fade. However, she’s been locked in, putting up 49+ fantasy points in each of her last five games. One of those games saw her go for 72.
The ceiling is too great, so with just three games to work with, I am finding a spot for her. Our lineup optimizer agrees, as she’s the top spend and is landing in the #1 lineup at the moment.

We can save some cash and get really good value via Leite, who is trending up after dropping 36 fantasy points in her most recent game. She is getting rock solid burn and is scoring the ball well and also creating offense (7+ assists in 3 of 5). I don’t want a lot of exposure to her game, but at least Portland is favored.
I don’t see a way around Olivia Miles these days. Obviously it’d be fun to just pair the two ceiling plays in Wilson and Alyssa Thomas, but I think it’s more realistic to drop down from Thomas to Miles. The rookie has been sensational – not to mention crazy efficient – and she enters Saturday’s WNBA DFS slate with the fourth best projection.
I’d bet the Over, as she has been absolutely cooking with 37+ fantasy points in each of her last four games. She’s also come in at 34+ in each of her last seven outings. She’s a really nice comeback across from Wilson in what should be a fun back-and-forth game.
Saturday’s WNBA DFS Value Picks
- DeWanna Bonner ($6.5k)
- Noemie Brochant ($5.3k)
- Alanna Smith ($4.7k)
- Lexi Held ($4k)
The value isn’t amazing as things stand. Bonner barely qualifies, as she’s more of a low mid-range play and a borderline core play. Bonner has a solid projection and a secure role. She just also has a pretty poor floor for the price, unfortunately.
If we want real savings – and we probably do considering the spends on this slate – we can go dumpster diving with Held and Smith. The minutes aren’t stable and the projections stink, but they look like two of the better ways to save cash currently.
If you have the funds I’d try to get to Brochant over them, however, as he’s been playing solid minutes (22+ in five straight games). Her floor is better than Smith/Held, but the ceiling is pretty capped.
Top WNBA DFS GPP Pick for 6/13
- Alyssa Thomas ($12.1k)
The most obvious pivot of the slate. You can pair her with A’ja Wilson, but you get maximum leverage by just turning to Thomas instead. She’s $800 cheaper than Wilson and only projects for six fewer fantasy points per our system.
She’s the less appealing play, to be sure, as she simply hasn’t displayed her trademark ceiling lately. That said, she’s the ultimate pivot on a slate where Wilson should be quite popular.
Top WNBA DFS Game to Stack on Saturday
- Phoenix vs. Los Angeles (1 pt spread, 179 total)
The Portland game has the biggest spread, so that’s the game I’d look to avoid if I can. The other two games both look fantastic, but the Phoenix game pulls ahead due to a tighter spread and higher total.
I’d try to get to these two games the most on this small three-game slate.
WNBA Injuries to Monitor for Saturday
- Paige Bueckers
- Carla Leite
These are the two big ones. Leite is listed as probable, so she looks like a nice mid-range play if she is in. If she is surprisingly out, however, we could target some value on Portland for sure.
Bueckers is listed as questionable. Fine play if active, but the bigger news is if she sits, as Azzi Fudd would get a big boost and all Dallas options would suddenly look a lot more appealing. We could even go dumpster diving for value here if she’s out.
