NBA DFS Picks – Core Plays for Tuesday, 11/25

LeBron James Lakers

Tuesday’s NBA DFS slate is an interesting one, as we have a few studs to consider paying for up top, but also have just three games to work with. This is a good slate to take it easy on, but there’s still money to be made.

Let’s see who we should start building NBA DFS lineups with at DraftKings and FanDuel tonight:

DraftKings NBA Core

  • Jalen Johnson
  • Andre Drummond
  • Cam Whitmore OR Corey Kispert

Update: Edwards is the best value by default with Philly missing so many wing players. Probably value you could get away with fading, but he looks like a great play. Suggs and George don’t budge. Drummond enters the core in place of Porzingis. I think you can make a strong case to play Porzingis over a chalky Drummond, but Andre is cheaper, doesn’t have a minutes cap, and projects better.

There are no truly reliable punts yet. Kawhi’s return makes Kobe Sanders feel a little thin, making Justin Edwards (also thin) stand out the most at the moment.

As far as the core goes, Suggs projects really well and is in a decent spot against the Sixers. He is going to have enough volume to give him a shot to smash this price tag. If he’s obscenely owned I’ll entertain moving off of him and looking for leverage, but he’s simply a good play on this tiny slate.

Provided he isn’t randomly rested, Porzingis might be the best mid-range play of them all. His minutes continue to be capped, but he’s an elite per minute producer and is facing a bad Wizards defense. He should smash. If he’s out, we can just pivot to Onyeka.

George is Q but if he plays he’s a lock for me. He’s in a good spot against Atlanta, and we know he has a solid ceiling. If he’s out, there’s no shortage of Wizards value to consider.

Keep an eye on Marvin Bagley and Sarr’s statuses. It could be Vukcevic season again.

FanDuel NBA Core

  • Jalen Johnson
  • Corey Kispert
  • Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Update: Removed LeBron from core. Like him a lot but with Jalen there and some centers standing out (namely Drummond), I won’t force him. I think we can still get to Porzingis comfortably here, but if I had to choose one, I am going Drums over Porzingis. Added Drummond and Edwards due to 76ers news.

Only changes on FD are adding NAW and paying for LeBron. James is already up to 34 minutes and he sported a 27% usage rate last game. I highly doubt either dips going forward; he has too big of an ego to play third fiddle in this offense.

NAW is just cheap for a guy who continues to be super involved offensively. He can be scoring dependent, though, so if he’s super chalky I’d consider going under the field. He’s just cheap for this slate, though.

This is a really small slate, so you can argue for anything; paying for Jalen or Luka, etc. I don’t think you need to force Luka on either site, but getting to Jalen is plenty fine.
