Week 3 NFL DFS GPP Picks – Top DraftKings Tournament Plays

week 3 nfl dfs gpp picks justin herbert

One of the biggest keys to NFL DFS success in tournaments is hitting on your core plays. But you also need to nail some GPP picks nobody else sees coming, too.

Handing out NFL DFS GPP picks is interesting, as it makes you look smart when they hit, but you feel dumb since the conversion rate just isn’t going to be high on a consistent basis. There’s a reason why these dudes are not popular, after all. But I’ve got a handful of tourney plays I love this week. Let’s see who made the cut and why!

Last Week’s GPP Plays – How Did We Do?

I ruled the tight end scene last week, as Jake Ferguson and Dalton Schultz were gods. If you went double tight end with those guys and ignored the rest of my tourney plays, you’d have won it all.

CJ Stroud was OK and Omarion Hampton crushed. Everyone else was either very weak or flat out terrible. GPP gonna GPP, and my weekly tourney play shortlist will not hit 1.000. But I do aim for better than half.

Top NFL DFS GPP Pick Shortlist for Week 3

  • Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers ($5.8k)
  • Geno Smith, QB, Jets ($4.9k)
  • Jameis Winston, QB, Giants ($4k)
  • Cam Skattebo, RB, Giants ($6.2k)
  • Breece Hall, RB, Jets ($6.4k)
  • Omarian Hampton, RB, Chargers ($6.8k)
  • Rashee Rice, WR, Chiefs ($6.4k)
  • Malik Nabers, WR, Giants ($6.5k)
  • Adonai Mitchell, WR, Jets ($4.3k)
  • Dalton Kincaid, TE, Bills ($5.5k)
  • Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Jets ($3.4k)

Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers ($5.8K)

Our system hates Justin Herbert. Why wouldn’t it? It loved him for two weeks and all he did to repay it for that love was 14 and 9-point stinkers. I think be sheer necessity he could get out of his own way this week. The Bills are a juggernaut and they’ve made men out of Jared Goff and CJ Stroud in 2026.

Herbert is unowned because of his jackassery and now the Bolts are going to go 0-3. Nice work, capris boi. But really, his price has come down, nobody wants to play baby Josh Harnett, and now we can make some money from it.

Geno Smith, QB, Jets ($4.9K)

Geno sickos, unite! I don’t know, man, maybe its the tasty Lions matchup, the high game total, or that this game is in a dome. Maybe it’s all of it. But I like me some Geno Smith stacks. The Jets aren’t good, but the Lions may not be good, either, and we damn sure know that can’t play defense.

Smith has been on Justin Herbert’s level to start the season. Not sure who that’s more offensive to. But hey, the Lions are a cure all medicine. As long as Smith chokes it down like a good boy I think he shreds per his salary. Maybe that doesn’t mean he nukes for 30+ points, but since he’s $4.9k I believe he’ll be “good enough” to keep you from throwing things at me.

Jameis Winston, QB, Giants ($4K)

It could also be Winston Szn. I mean, why not? Shoutout to HornHighYo. Being a Giants fan must be the absolute worst. Or maybe this is just what the doctor ordered. In terms of being fun and putting up numbers, at least. Dart is better than Winston, but Winston doesn’t hit up the blue tent on a weekly basis and he is nothing if not aggressive.

Lest you forget, Winston dropped a 37-burger last year and he does have an underrated arsenal of weapons around him. Provided Malik Nabers (shoulder, timid) isn’t randomly held out, I like Winston to find success against a shaky Titans defense. We don’t need much here, people. Dude’s $4k.

Cam Skattebo, RB, Giants ($6.2K)

Not into the Winston dive? I get it, he’s reckless and if last week is any indication, he may complete 10 of 100 passes. We could just as easily go the other way, and bank on the G-Men riding Cam Skattebo into the ground.

New York did weirdly not decide to include him in a crucial goal-line situation, but if we turn back to week 1, it does appear they will feed this guy the rock. Tennessee let Breece Hall pop off on them in week one, while a collection of Eagles scrubs did some damage last week.

Before the season rolled around we were all believers in Cam. Well, some of us were. It’s time to put that belief back into the ol’ CTE posterboy.

Breece Hall, RB, Jets ($6.4K)

I love this Lions vs. Jets game. It has a high total, one shitty defense, and an underrated assortment of tantalizing weapons. One of them is Breece Hall. He was OK last week and smashed in week 1, so I am starting to #believe that he could be something yet.

This is a pretty nice spot, as James Cook rediscovered his life source against Detroit in week 2. Hall is a dynamic and explosive back who has a fantastic role. Everything looks good here. Full Jets stacks? Full Jets stacks.

Omarion Hampton, RB, Chargers ($6.8K)

I can’t quit Omarian Hampton. He made my NFL DFS GPP picks last week, and was one of my best plays thanks to 18.5 fantasy points. He also hit paydirt in week 1, so if his playcalling and o-line can stop being dickholes I think we may be onto something.

Hampton has the makings of a stud, but even if he doesn’t, the 25 touches he racked up last week show me L.A. at least pretends he is one. It’s possible the Chargers get totally waxed by the Bills. If so, this will end badly. If not, Hampton could actually keep them in front given Buffalo’s horrendous run defense.

Rashee Rice, WR, Chiefs ($6.4K)

Kenneth Walker III projects like a god in week three, as he prepares for a money spot against a bad Dolphins team. I don’t disagree, but his price has ticked up and Rashee’s has not. Rice at least got more involved in week 2, and it stands to reason that KC’s best player will explode at some point.

After seeing Brock Purdy shred Miami last week, I think the Chiefs are going to have a lot of success in this spot. KW9 will be part of that, but if the field agrees and wants to overplay him, let’s get cute and stack Mahomes with a low-owned Rice.

Malik Nabers, WR, Giants ($6.5K)

Nabers is a former top-10 guy with elite upside. He was timid in week one and still put up over 12 fantasy points. Last week he got banged up and dropped what could have been a touchdown. The breakout is coming, folks.

Leave it to Jameis Winston to unlock this dude, am I right? In all seriousness, Nabers has shown us in the past that he’s got the ability to demand a price tag in the $8k range. But he’s not priced like that and nobody wants to play him. There ain’t much that’s more GPP than that.

Adonai Mitchell, WR, Jets ($4.3K)

I have eyes for Garrett Wilson just the same, but Jets stacks gonna Jets stacks. I do like the idea of getting away from the only popular Jet option and just loading up elsewhere. Besides, Adonai Mitchell is a freak athlete who the Jets clearly adore.

The guy saw 12 balls come his way last week, and now he’s in the best spot he’s enjoyed all season. Pretty much every Jet with a pulse is on my radar this week, but Mitchell may be my favie.

Dalton Kincaid, TE, Bills ($5.5K)

Kincaid has topped 20+ fantasy points in successive weeks to start the season, yet nobody wants to play him in week three. That seems odd, especially since Trey McBride went full nuke mode against this same Chargers defense back in week one.

DJ Moore is still banged up, Kincaid has been featured, and the matchup looks solid. The only thing I don’t love is the price (64% of Milly Maker winners use TEs priced below $5k), but he’s arguably still kinda cheap.

Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Jets ($3.4K)

Sadiq offers significant salary relief at tight end. At $3.4K, the goal is simply to find enough involvement and scoring upside to outperform a relatively modest price tag. Keep an eye on the status of Mason Taylor. He hurt his thumb, and for some reason that’s an acceptable reason to miss NFL games for.

Sadiq’s athleticism and versatility make him quite appealing. Price and enhanced role aside, the Lions are The Worst defense at stopping tight ends. Jets stacks? Jets stacks.
