Top WNBA Prop Bets & Predictions (Thursday, 7/9)

wnba player prop bets thursday

Want some winning WNBA player prop bets for Thursday? I’ve got some of the best lines worth targeting, and why they’re great options.

Caitlin Clark takes a break after playing last night, but there’s plenty of star power to work with on this slate, and one awesome game environment staring us in the face. But for WNBA player props we really just need a good price and something about the matchup or role that stands out.

I’ve got four WNBA props I love. Let’s see why they stand out!

Angel Reese Over 11.5 Rebounds

Reese is a rebounding machine. She averages 11.8 rebounds per game on the season and has notched 12+ boards in four of her last five games. Tonight she battles the Seattle Storm, who rank just 11th on the glass.

Reese’s rebounding prowess also makes her one of the best WNBA DFS picks for Thursday night.

Flau’Jae Johnson Over 12.5 Points

Johnson is on the other side of that Dream vs. Storm game, and I think she should have some solid success here. Atlanta’s defense is solid from an overall scoring perspective, but they can be weak on the outside.

Johnson is only shooting 29% from deep, but the talented rookie can still be a terror on the outside, with multiple made threes in five of her last six outings. Her perimter game should cook Atlanta’s suspect three-point defense (5th most made threes, worst 3-point % allowed).

On top of the positive matchup, Johnson has been largely feeling it lately. She is coming off a 23-point effort and smoked this Dream defense for 24 points just a few games ago.

Kahleah Copper Over 25.5 PRA

Copper should be busy against the fast-paced Indiana Fever tonight. We know she’s an elite scorer, as evidenced by her 20.5 points per game on the year, as well as her current stretch where she’s topped 25 points in four straight games.

I don’t see Copper slowing down here, and the best part of this mild PRA is she can get there just with her scoring. She’s done that in three of her last four games, while her rebounding and playmaking has allowed her to top this total in seven of her last eight contests.

Kelsey Mitchell Over 29.5 PRA

I also love Mitchell’s line. If you thought Copper was riding a hot streak, take a look at Mitchell, who has now safely cleared 25+ real points in four straight games. She’s also scored 22+ in seven of her last eight.

With Caitlin Clark taking the night off, it’s reasonable to expect that scoring to continue, while Mitchell should also take on some extra playmaking ability.

Her ancillary stats aren’t super reliable on the year, but the enhanced role should allow her to coast to 30+ PRA tonight.

Best WNBA Player Prop Bets for Thursday Night

PlayerPropPickConfidence
Angel Reese11.5+ Points✅ Over5/5
Kahleah Copper25.5+ PRA✅ Over5/5
Kelsey Mitchell29.5+ PRA✅ Over5/5
Flau’Jae Johnson12.5+ Points✅ Over4/5

That does it for tonight’s WNBA player prop bets. If I had to pick just one bet, I think Reese getting 12 rebounds is one of the safest props on the board. Ranking right behind that bet is Copper to get 26+ points, rebounds, and assists.

Ranking dead last, of course, is Johnson’s scoring line. I think she can get there easily, but rookies are often tough to trust and the Dream’s scoring defense hasn’t always been kind to opponents.
