Well unfortunately the winning streak ended. Our plays of Brissett, CMC, and McBride paid off, but we were let down by Warren and Chase, which caused us to miss the cash line.
This week looks pretty straightforward, so let’s get back to cashing. Here are my favorite NFL DFS cash game plays at each position for week 12 DraftKings contests.
Top Cash Game Quarterbacks Picks
The best NFL DFS cash game plays at QB tend to offer a high floor and a reasonable ceiling. And/or they are a really good price and allow for an optimal build.
Here are the week 12 NFL DFS quarterback plays to build around the most:
Drake Maye ($6,900)
The most expensive QB on the slate and still under 7k. He has a safe floor and gets the worst defense in the league. He also owns the top projection of the slate.
He is having an exceptional season.
Maye has been unfair and we shouldn’t be shy about playing him in any format.
Jacoby Brissett ($5,300)
The man just produces. In every start he’s had at least 20 fantasy points. He’s at home against the Jaguars, who give up the 5th most points to fantasy QBs.
Best NFL DFS RB Core Plays
Choosing the right running backs for NFL DFS lineups is crucial to success. One miss, and you’re looking at a 4-6 point dud that ruins your week.
Here are the top RBs we should feel comfortable building around in week 12:
Jahmyr Gibbs ($8,300)
He had a lackluster performance against the Eagles last week, but now gets the worst team vs. the run in the Giants. I wouldn’t fade him.
TreVeyon Henderson ($6,700)
He has finally arrived. In his last two games he has 5 total TDs and has averaged 100 rushing yards per game. Only caveat is if Henderson returns—he’s still limited as of this writing.
Ownership is tough to trust on Henderson. He’s also presently a great GPP play if the field isn’t buying him for whatever reason. Interest in Maye stacks could impact that, so monitor the situation.
Chase Brown ($6,200)
Not the best matchup, but the volume will be there. Ja’Marr Chase being out helps with target share as well.
Emanuel Wilson ($5,300)
Jacobs is trending toward being out this week. Wilson should take over as the lead back and has a strong price for his expected role.
Top WR Plays in Week 12 NFL DFS
It’s tough to fade jaw-dropping value or reliable studs at wide receiver. You can’t afford everyone, but the following are the most trustworthy WR cash game plays at DK this week:
Jaxson Smith-Njigba ($9,000)
There isn’t much to say about arguably the best WR in football this year. He’s expensive, but Tennessee won’t be able to stop him.
Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,000)
I prefer JSN, but the savings on the Sun God can help elsewhere. Like Gibbs, St. Brown is in a great bounce-back spot.
He also will want to get it going after a disastrous game last week.
Wandale Robinson ($5,500)
A cheap target monster. The Giants will need to throw to stay in the game, and garbage time should help.
Michael Wilson ($4,800)
I was wrong about him last week—I preferred Dortch. With Harrison Jr. still out, the targets must go somewhere. He won’t see 18 again, but he’s a strong play at his price.
Tee Higgins ($7,100)
Let’s not forget Higgins, who could have Burrow back this week and has the Cincy target share all to himself. New England is also nasty against the run, so the game flow favors him in a likely high-volume role.
Top NFL DFS Tight End Picks
There’s only one truly reliable tight end play, but here are a few good TEs to play at DraftKings this week.
Trey McBride ($6,800)
Thankfully Brissett has taken over at QB and he loves McBride. Jacoby has targeted him nearly 60 times over the last five games. His price is too cheap for essentially a WR. I played him in the flex last week paired with a cheap TE.
Hunter Henry ($3,900)
Enter the cheap TE to pair with McBride. He could bust, but I feel confident targeting the Bengals, who are historically bad versus tight ends.
Top Defenses in Week 12
Defenses tend to be a crapshoot, but here are the best options for cash games at DraftKings this week:
Seahawks ($4,000)
Yes, they’re the most expensive on the slate, but as always we target Cam Ward.
Raiders ($3,500)
This should be a low‑scoring game. The Raiders can play defense and they get Sanders making his debut as a starter.
He was quite bad in his debut last week.
Browns ($2,900)
The Raiders aren’t good, and the Browns’ biggest strength is defense. Oh, and they have Myles Garrett.
