NBA DFS Picks Today: Core Plays (2/1)

Kawhi leonard

6-game slate on DK and an 8-gamer on FanDuel on this fine Sunday. We’ve already gotten quite a bit of injury news, and we get to run it back with Game 3 between the Bulls and Heat. Fun!

And also some Kings. Let’s go.

DK Core Plays

  • Malik Monk
  • Marvin Bagley
  • Kawhi Leonard

Chicago won’t have Giddey again tonight, while Jones, Collins, and Smith remain out. Even with White and Vucevic back, Ayo is too cheap for the role he should have, especially if he starts. He’s in line for monster minutes against a fast-paced Heat team. Still too cheap.

Toronto gets the best matchup of ’em all at home against Utah. RJ Barrett (27.4%) leads the Raps in usage, and he got up to 31 minutes in the last game. Even if he hovers around that again, his salaries in the $6,000 range on both sites are pretty light. Very good play, though ownership will be there.

James Harden is out for LAC. With Harden off the floor, all Kawhi has done is post a 37.4% usage rate alongside a 1.58 DK FP/minute average. Very good. Matchup against PHX is tough, but Leonard should just have a massive role, and I’d expect the minutes to continue to trend northward.

Honorable mention: Ayo Dosunmu, Dylan Cardwell

FD Core Plays

  • Marvin Bagley
  • Kawhi Leonard
  • Ayo Dosunmu

2 more games on FD, including a CLE-POR game with the Cavs still missing Garland, Mobley, and the traded De’Andre Hunter. The new Cavs probably won’t be ready to roll here, and Portland is a weak defensive team on the perimeter with Jrue Holiday out. Mitchell’s usage is up by 6.4% without those 3 on the floor.

Honorable mention: Monk, Sabonis, Nikola Vucevic
