If you want to take dangerous punts and jam Wilson in, more power to you. I’d definitely get to her if I am creating a lot of WNBA DFS lineups, but on a bigger slate like this, forcing the issue is less of a priority for me.
Wilson does not land in our WNBA DFS lineup tool’s top lineup at the moment, while she also appears in less than half of 1,000 simmed lineups. She still looks like a great spend and she offers the highest ceiling of the slate, but I am entertaining going under-weight.

Bueckers and Shepard are where I prefer to invest my cash. They’re both way cheaper and right now they compare to Wilson favorable per our WNBA DFS projections. They’re also part of the top game environment of the slate.
Stokes is a nice throw-in, as she doesn’t cost a lot, projects decently, and is coming off a nice 32-point fantasy outing. As long as she doesn’t mail it in, I think she’s a solid foundational piece.
I’d consider a Portland comeback like Sarah Ashle Barker, Carla Leite, or Bridget Carleton, but stacking isn’t an absolute must.
Sunday’s WNBA DFS Value Picks
- Jordan Harrison ($3k)
- Tiffany Hayes ($4k)
Harrison has not played very much, but she did log 13 minutes in her last game, and Karli Samuelson is listed as Questionable. This is a dangerous punt, to be clear, but on a slate where we may want to try to jam in Wilson, it’s not that crazy. Just don’t take this dive if Samuelson is active.
Hayes is another interesting punt, but one that feels a bit more stable. She costs $1k more, but she’s at least actively in the rotation and played 22 minutes in her last game. The risk is real, but she’s a decent value that can open salary up on this star-studded slate.
Top WNBA DFS GPP Picks for 6/28
- Breanna Stewart ($11.3k)
- Natasha Howard ($11.1k)
Stewart projects well and is way cheaper than Wilson, but it doesn’t look like she’ll be very owned. I don’t love the matchup against Golden State, but anytime Stewart is going to go overlooked, her high floor and ceiling make for a compelling play in tournments.
I also don’t mind Howard, who is admittedly over-priced slightly, but she also projects well. She shouldn’t be super owned due to the studs on this slate, while most people targeting a Minnesota player would prefer to invest their salary in Olivia Miles. There’s nothing wrong with that (at all), but Howard has played better of late, is a similar price, and should see less exposure from the field.
Top WNBA DFS Game to Stack on Sunday
- Dallas vs. Portland (4-point spread, 176 total)
This feels like the top game to attack, as it has a relatively tight spread and a high total. To be fair, today’s four-game slate is pretty loaded, as ever single game comes in with a 164+ total, and only the Chicago game appears to be lopsided potentially.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to blindly stack any of these games, but if we want the best combination of DFS environment, competitive play, and high total, I’d start with Dallas. It only helps that one of the best plays on the board is featured in this contest, too.
