Yesterday’s NBA Core was solid. De’Andre Hunter was who we thought he was, as he actually had a decent game, but only got 18 fantasy points. That weak output was survivable due to the price and ownership, though.
Luckily we were all over Jenkins and McBride, who both smashed. There were A LOT of landmines yesterday, so it was a brutal slate for me personally. Hopefully you found a path to some winning.
Tuesday has a light four-game slate, but things already seem pretty obvious with some key Spurs taking the night off. Let’s see which NBA DFS picks need to be in your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups tonight:
DraftKings NBA Core (Updated 6:40 ET)
- Vince Williams Jr.
- Luke Kornet ($5.4k)
- Keldon Johnson
- De’Aaron Fox ($8.3k)
Update: No Cade news yet, so taking out Jenkins for now. If Cade is out, Jenkins is a core play. If he’s in, I’d go with the core above. You can always pay for Cade if he’s in, but I’d probably stick with the 2nd tier options like Fox, White, Wagner, Jaylen, JJJ, etc. Queta is a great value to pair with Kornet or leverage against him with. MPJ projects like a god. I think MPJ/Fox/White are really hard to get away from and they make an excellent foundation.
No Wemby or Castle tonight, so all of the Spurs look good. Kornet > Queta if he starts, but both are viable. Fox is a smash play. White is a smash play. Memphis is interesting since no Ja and they are a bit shorthanded. Right now their guys kind of bleed into each other, but I can see someone like Vince Williams ($4k) working their way into a lot of my lineups and JJJ is also an interesting spend. Jenkins is a lock again with Cade out.
FanDuel NBA Core (Updated 6:40 ET)
- Shaedon Sharpe
- Keldon Johnson
- Deni Avdija
- Dillon Brooks
I think you can absolutely entertain fading Duren and soaking up some value at center with the likes of Queta or Kornet, but he looks so good here. Duren is a really tough fade on both sites. Jenkins is a lock with Cade out.
Jrue is also doubtful, so Sharpe and Deni get big boosts. Sharpe is just too cheap. MPJ is a great play on both sites but easier to get to on FanDuel. JJJ’s floor has been lower than we’d like, but $6.6k with no Ja is insane.
Luka is the top spend on this slate and you have 2 extra games to deal with. I don’t think he is an absolute must, but the Jazz are a smash spot. Right now I’m not forcing him since the 2nd tier and mid-range are loaded, however.
