WNBA DFS Core for Thursday
- A’ja Wilson ($12k)
- Kamilla Cardoso ($9.1k)
- Aneesah Morrow ($7.1k)
This slate looks pretty obvious at first glance. That may also mean it actually isn’t. But hey! The best we can do is look at the games and how people project, and go from there.
I will say one thing; I don’t like the idea of fading A’ja Wilson tonight. I think you can make a case to pivot to Breanna Stewart or even pair them, but the mid-range is pretty loaded thanks to a litany of injuries.
Wilson doesn’t need a big sales pitch. She’s good for 50+ fantasy points and maybe one other player can say that tonight. The price gap between her and the next best play is minimal, so it’s probably the easiest click on the board.
I can’t ignore Cardoso at her price with the injuries the Sky are dealing with. There’s a clear path to a double-double here and the chance at a big ceiling game is solid. She’s a lock for me, but you can always fade her and tap into the Chicago value plays.
Lastly, let’s fire up some Aneesah Morrow. She projects amazingly when looking at her price, and the Sun are another team that are missing some key bodies. She isn’t the only Connecticut player to like, but she is the best one.

Whether you pay up for Wilson or not (you totally should), I like both of the Liberty studs. This game has a high total and a close spread, so we could get fireworks. Wilson is projecting to be mega owned, but so far we can’t say the same for the ladies on the other side of that game.
If nobody wants to pay for Stewart or Ionescu, we should have serious interest.
Napheesa Collier is a fine tourney spend if you like to do YOLO Things. Chelsea Gray is also someone I don’t mind when considering salary and leverage in the event you’re fading Wilson (even though you shouldn’t Do That).

- Saniya Rivers ($5.2k)
- Elizabeth Williams ($5.5k)
I honestly don’t love anything here, but which WNBA DFS values you use should depend on your overall strategy. If you’re stacking Wilson and one of the Liberty studs, I think someone like Dana Evans or one of the cheap New York values are in play.
If you’re targeting one main stud (what I’d be doing, personally), then these other plays, starting with Elizabeth Williams and Saniya Rivers, could be the better path to success.
In general, I like the one-star approach tonight and think we can keep it chill while building around Wilson.
